Celebrating 23 Years of Women’ Empowerment
What began as a humble dream has grown into a global movement that unites and empowers women from all walks of life—women who lead with courage, compassion, and purpose.
Marking its 23rd Anniversary this year, Lumiere International reflects on more than two decades of championing women’s leadership and creating platforms that amplify their voices. “For 23 years, L’umiére International has stood as a testament to what happens when women are given the opportunity to rise,” said Justina Quek, Founder & CEO of Lumiere International. “Our awardees are not just achievers—they are changemakers shaping the world with courage, vision, and compassion.”
Women’s empowerment is about giving every woman the power, permission, and space to be fully herself—not what society dictates. It means the freedom to make decisions independently, speak without fear, and walk away from anything that compromises dignity or respect. True empowerment is also about collective impact. 1 November 2025 – Lumiere International commemorated its 23rd Anniversary alongside the prestigious Women of Excellence Awards 2025 held at One°15 Marina Sentosa Cove, honouring remarkable women whose leadership, advocacy, and accomplishments continue to uplift communities and spire change worldwide.
The Women of Excellence Award 2025
The Women of Excellence Award honours individuals who exemplify courage, resilience, and meaningful impact. These leaders inspire through their advocacy, achievements, and unwavering commitment to uplifting others.
This year’s award recognises women who influence global conversations and drive powerful social change through diverse advocacies—women’s empowerment, mental health awareness, domestic violence prevention, community upliftment, and support for vulnerable groups. Their work emphasises the importance of creating safe, inclusive spaces where women can thrive, speak openly, and access the support they need. These leaders are strengthening families, building communities, and inspiring others to rise with confidence, dignity, and purpose.
