What does women Empowerment means to you? Women empowerment for me isn’t promoting feminism in an over-powering way over men. We promote women empowerment in a positive way of not grinding our men’s roles and ego. It is more of motivating, inspiring, upskilling, teaching, help transform and sharpen minds & hearts, promote loving self first and importance of self-care. It is empowering others by being empowered first. And understanding and respecting the roles of every women in the society and even help promotes women essence in the world.

What inspired you to do your first pageant? MY FAMILY. MY CHILDREN. My LATE husband. MY MANTRAS AND ADVOCACIES IN LIFE.

Why did you choose to compete for your current title? I believe I can use it as a platform to be heard and seen as a REAL WOMAN or QUEEN OF BEAUTY WITH A PURPOSE. And through this pageant, I know my advocacies in life will became a legacy to others. And I trusted that this process and journey will open not only new door of better life opportunities for me and my family but will be A NEW WHOLE HOUSE open opportunity for us and for others too.

Tell us about your experience during the competition. It was a double blade sharpening experience. I need to juggle between my pageant preparations spiritually, mentally, physically, emotionally, most of all financially at the same time making sure my Kids are positively well taken care of and their needs. I can say that there’s a lot of extraordinary challenges in every situation but the best part was paid off when I got the title and crown.

Tell us about your platform or what cause do you volunteer for. I am happy supporting UNICEF Philippines even before I was not a titled beauty queen. And recently became an official UNICEF CHAMPION for EDUCATION. I support monetary on different CHARITY foundations like UNHCR, SOS VILLAGE, EAGLE FOUNDATION, BAHAY NI JOSE, PHILLIPPINE RED CROSS, HOMECARE FOR MENTAL HEALTH patients, ROTARY CLUB OF GAPAN CITY, CARITAS Donations, and MORE OUT-OF-PERSONAL pocket SMALL ACT OF KINDNESS IN COMMUNITY, COUNTRY & INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS. Especially on the streets random act of kindness. “Giving until it hurts as Mother Theresa quoted.” I SUPPORT not only through charity foundations and projects, but through helping PROMOTE LOCAL AND IMPORTED SME BUSINESSES. And support LOCAL AND INTERNATIONAL ARTS AND ARTWORKS.

What are some of your achievements? When I say I’m a life-long learner I don’t mean only my achievements in academics but holistically, I am an achiever in my own special ways. But above all else, I consider my greatest achievement in life is my personal hands-on experience raising my kids and taking care of my family especially my husband. “And SPREADING the good works of God in my life made my achievements special.” To be a titled Beauty Queen in my own country is one big achievement for me and being a part of an International Pageantry like Lumiere is another Big Step to a NEW BIGGER opportunities.

What makes you stand out from all those other beautiful girls? We are all special and unique in our own beauty and ways. But I consider the efforts and the natural humility that I invested on this pageant made me stand out from the rest. “Sometimes we don’t need so much words on our notes, just a joyful and passionate personality will go along way.”

Tell us about the moment your name was called out as the winner. It was truly unexpected to be the Grand Winner though efforts exerted, I did believe it was all meant for me. I was teary-eyed with poise while they are putting my crown and sash when I won. It was the feeling of telling myself “thank you Lord this is all because of you and you knew this is really for me.” I knew my husband is watching from above, so much proud for me. And I knew my family and supporters were truly GRATEFUL. For me I won not only for myself but I brought their hearts and soul to this pageant so they are all part of my winning and that’s THE BEST FEELING. And so much thankful to the judges for feeling my heart beat, it was a gift. World Class Beauty Queens: What does it mean to you to be a Beauty Queen? When you know your essence of being a woman, it will give you ease knowing your purpose of being a titled Beauty Queen. For me, as an image of a beauty queen, I am a flower that gives my country its appealing scent and natural beauty, and a flower that gives other flowers inspirations to bloom too. Be the Queen that creates harmony between all thorns & spines. Be a Queen of Peace and Humanity.

How did competing in pageants helped your life? It was the shared journey and experiences with co-competitors which helped me became the best version of myself. To learn and accept the differences of each one while exploring my own unique self capabilities made a stronger point in competing this kind of pageant.

How did pageants helped your self esteem and body image? Through this kind of pageant, I was able to be heard and seen as a TRUE icon being a Queen. A queen that selflessly care and show compassion and passion to what was bestowed on her. A woman who regained her highest self-confidence and self-esteem through the process and journey to be a REAL QUEEN. This pageant became my channel to fully CONQUER THE UNIVERSE.

You are an inspiration to all the girls out there. How does it feel? I was inspired by that thought that I am an inspiration to others but above all else, I am happy knowing I inspire others in my own special ways being a woman or a girl or lady. I reciprocate the feeling of being more inspired from them for making me challenge myself to lead a better life and be the best model for kindness, humility and love. Because the best feeling of being an inspiration to other girls emmanated through words and actions perfectly combined.

What is your on stage strategy to win the judges over? “I only make myself BE MY authentic SELF because everyone else has been taken.”

What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind? Timeless beauty took a lot of painful sharpening and polishing. The experiences and techniques are risk-takingly demanding. You will encounter plenty roads of humps & bumps, but the highest climb is worth its steep being on top. Don’t be feared to use a ladder going back down the flats, because that’s where you will be able to magnify God’s touch to human life. Allowing the natural grace and goodness of your own journey, you will create a change to each one’s life you embodied on earth on your existence. “Be naturally human.”
